    At times it is unavoidable that Network Rail infrastructure improvement works may affect some of our services, meaning alterations to the scheduled timetables. Arriva Trains Wales and Network Rail apologise for any inconvenience that these temporary alterations may cause.

    We advise passengers intending to travel to enquire before starting their journey for full details of altered trains, onward connections and additional road transport. Details of alterations can be obtained below or from your local staffed booking office.

Engineering work affecting Arriva Trains Wales services from Monday 22 to Friday 26 July 2013

Monday to Thursday

The 17:20 Cardiff Central to Holyhead service will terminate at Chester. Passengers are advised to use alternative services between Chester and Holyhead.

The 19:34 Cardiff Central to Holyhead service will be replaced by a bus between Rhyl and Holyhead.

The 20:17 Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly service will be replaced by a bus between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly.

The 22:35 Manchester Piccadilly to Shrewsbury service will be diverted and not calling at Wilmslow. A replacement bus will run from Stockport to Crewe, calling at Wilmslow. 

The 22:55 Birmingham New Street to Holyhead service will be replaced by a bus between Rhyl and Holyhead. Passengers travelling on the 02:40 Holyhead to Dublin Ferryport sailing must travel earlier to make a connection.

Tuesday to Friday   

The 04:38 Llandudno Junction to Crewe service will start as booked from Rhyl. There will be no alternative replacement transport between Llandudno Junction and Rhyl.
