    We’d like to say sorry to any customers who were delayed this morning on the Valleys network, and in particular on trains running through the Radyr area. Owing to damage to signalling equipment and a set of points many services were significantly disrupted, and it took several hours for our colleagues at Network Rail to repair the damage and for us to recover the service.

    A ground breaking scheme to help blind people find their way around Swansea’s transport services has been launched. Swansea Council has teamed up with, Arriva Trains Wales and the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to produce special hand-held maps in braille and large print thanks to funding from the Welsh Government.

    Eight children from the Aberfan & Merthyr Vale Youth Project have visited the Arriva Trains Wales Driver Training Centre in Cardiff. Organised by the British Transport Police and Arriva Trains Wales, the visit was arranged during the school half term to help raise awareness among young people of the dangers of trespass on the railway.

    A group of 16 cyclists from Cardiff Ajax Cycling club is to ride from Holyhead on Anglesey to Cardiff in one day on the 18th of June.  Known as the Wales "End to End", the route is over 210 miles and crosses plenty of Wales' mountains and hills.
