    At times it is unavoidable that Network Rail infrastructure improvement works may affect some of our services, meaning alterations to the scheduled timetables. Arriva Trains Wales and Network Rail apologise for any inconvenience that these temporary alterations may cause.

    We advise passengers intending to travel to enquire before starting their journey for full details of altered trains, onward connections and additional road transport. Details of alterations can be obtained below or from your local staffed booking office.

    For details on Planned Service Alterations and changes to timetables on other train operators can be found by contacting National Rail Enquiries on 03457 484950 or by visiting www.nationalrail.co.uk.

    Please note: It is regretted that dogs (except guide dogs), cycles, prams and large items of luggage cannot be conveyed on replacement road coach services.

The 22:56 Bidston to Wrexham General will start at Shotton High Level, customers should use the replacement bus service that starts at Birkenhead North at 22:51.

Friday

The 22:56 Bidston to Wrexham General will not run and is replaced by a bus service.

Monday to Thursday

The 21:17 Cardiff Central to Chester is replaced by a bus between Crewe and Cardiff Central.

The 22:55 Birmingham New Street to Holyhead is replaced by a bus between Crewe and Chester.

The 23:30 Crewe to Chester is replaced by a bus throughout.

The 19:30 Manchester Piccadilly to Carmarthen is diverted and will run non stop between Port Talbot Parkway and Carmarthen. A connecting bus service will run between Port Talbot Parkway and Carmarthen calling at all booked stations.

The 21:09 Pembroke Dock to Swansea is replaced by a bus between Llanelli and Swansea.

The 22:45 Swansea to Fishguard Harbour is replaced by a bus between Swansea and Llanelli.

The 21:42 Bridgend and Aberdare will terminate at Cardiff Central. Customers should use 22:48 Cardiff central to Treherbert train and change at Pontypridd for a connecting bus service to Aberdare.

The 21:56 Barry Island to Merthyr Tydfil is replaced by a bus between Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil.

The 22:45 Barry Island to Pontypridd is replaced by a bus between Radyr and Pontypridd.

Tuesday to Friday

The 01:50 Fishguard to Swansea is replaced by a bus between Llanelli and Swansea.

The 05:45 Swansea to Pembroke Dock is replaced by a bus between Swansea and Llanelli.

The 06:03 Swansea to Crewe will start from Llanelli departing at 06:27.

The 04:22 Chester to Birmingham New Street is replaced by a bus between Chester and Crewe.

The 04:55 Chester to Crewe is replaced by a bus throughout.

Friday

Great Western Railway

The 20:15, 21:15 and 22:45 London Paddington to Swansea will be diverted to run via the Vale of Glamorgan line. As a result, these trains will call at Bridgend and stations beyond 25 minutes later than the normal timetable.

Amended overnight Arriva Trains Wales service from Monday 05 June until Friday 09 June

Network Rail are carrying out engineering work at various locations on the Arriva Trains Wales network , closing various lines.

Customer Advice:

The 21:54 Aberdare to Penarth will be replaced by a bus between Cardiff and Penarth.

The 22:42 Bridgend to Cardiff Central will be replaced by a bus between Bridgend and Cardiff Central.

The 23:14 Radyr to Barry Island service will be replaced by a bus between Cardiff Central and Barry Island.

The 23:26 Penarth to Cardiff Central will be replaced by a bus.

The 05:16 Barry Island to Caerphilly will be replaced by a bus between Barry Island and Cardiff Central. The bus will depart at 05:00.

The 21:55 Cardiff Central to Crewe will be diverted via Chester and Wrexham. A replacement bus will run between Shrewsbury and Crewe.

The 22:15 Maesteg to Gloucester services will be replaced by a bus between Newport and Gloucester. Customers for Cheltenham Spa should travel on the first available service to Cheltenham Spa.

The 23:00 Cheltenham Spa to Cardiff Central will be replaced by a bus between Gloucester and Newport. An additional service will operate between Newport and Cardiff Central.

Customer advice:

The 01:50 service from Fishguard Harbour and Cardiff Central will terminate at Carmarthen. A replacement bus service will run between Carmarthen and Cardiff Central.

Please note that the bus will set down only at Llanelli.

Revised overnight service between Bridgend and Cardiff Central from Monday 12 June until Thursday 15 June

Network Rail are carrying out engineering work between Llanharan and Cardiff Central, closing all lines between the stations from 21:50 until 05:20 each night.

Advice for Arriva Trains Wales customers:

Trains will be diverted between Bridgend and Cardiff Central, via Llantwit Major. A replacement bus will run between Bridgend and Cardiff Central, via Llanharan.

For the 22:15 Maesteg to Gloucester service, the replacement bus will continue on to Gloucester, setting down only.

Advice for Great Western Railway customers:

Services between Swansea and London Paddington will be diverted between Bridgend and Cardiff Central, via Llantwit Major. This will extend journey times by approximately 25 minutes.
