    At times it is unavoidable that Network Rail infrastructure improvement works may affect some of our services, meaning alterations to the scheduled timetables. Arriva Trains Wales and Network Rail apologise for any inconvenience that these temporary alterations may cause.

    We advise passengers intending to travel to enquire before starting their journey for full details of altered trains, onward connections and additional road transport. Details of alterations can be obtained below or from your local staffed booking office.

    For details on Planned Service Alterations and changes to timetables on other train operators can be found by contacting National Rail Enquiries on 03457 484950 or by visiting www.nationalrail.co.uk.

    Please note: It is regretted that dogs (except guide dogs), cycles, prams and large items of luggage cannot be conveyed on replacement road coach services.

The 21:57 Wrexham Central to Bidston service will terminate at Shotton High Level. A replacement bus service will operate between Shotton High Level and Birkenhead North.

The 22:56 Bidston to Wrexham General will start at Shotton High Level, customers should use the replacement bus service that starts at Birkenhead North at 22:51.

Friday

The 22:56 Bidston to Wrexham General will not run and is replaced by a bus service.

Virgin Trains

No services will operate on the London Euston to Chester route. You should use services to and from Crewe and change onto Arriva Trains Wales services between Crewe and Chester, and then the replacement buses between Chester and Llandudno Junction.

Arriva Trains Wales trains on Sunday between Manchester and Chester will start and terminate at Warrington Bank Quay. Buses will run between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Piccadilly. 

Northern trains on Sunday between Manchester Airport and Blackpool North / Barrow-in-Furness are diverted to run between Manchester Victoria and Blackpool North / Barrow-in-Furness. Customers should use alternative trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.

Trains between Manchester Airport / Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Eccles and Liverpool Lime Street only. Buses will run between Eccles and Manchester Oxford Road / Manchester Piccadilly.

Trains between Hazel Grove / Chester and Southport are diverted to run between Hazel Grove / Chester and Manchester Oxford Road, and then between Manchester Victoria and Southport.

TransPennine Express trains on Sunday between Newcastle and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Newcastle and Manchester Victoria. Customers should use alternative trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street via Warrington Central.

The 20:12 Liverpool Lime Street to Scarborough will start from Manchester Victoria.

Services between Manchester Airport and Glasgow Central will operate between Preston and Glasgow Central only and services between Manchester Airport and Edinburgh will operate between Manchester Victoria and Edinburgh.
