CHARLES SETS A BLISTERING PACE FOR CHARITY

Charles Brown took a big step to raise just under £1,000 for charity. He walked 193 miles from Cardiff Castle to Conway Castle, leaving Cardiff at 10 a.m on Saturday 18 August, reaching his destination on Friday 24 August.

Charles Brown WalkingCharles travelled to Cardiff the evening before he set off, courtesy of Arriva Trains Wales.  His total walking time was 85 hours 37 minutes, total steps taken was 300,582 with no blisters.

Charles, who lost a stone in weight from his journey was able to walk through some of Wales stunning mountain and river views.  As a result he collected £980 which will be split between Scope and St David’s Hospice.
