PLUSBUS is available to 283 towns and cities across Britain, including Cardiff, Manchester, Hereford, Birmingham and Shrewsbury. PLUSBUS is a discount price ticket for unlimited bus travel around town (like a "bus pass") that you buy with your train ticket. Bus travel can be at the start, the finish, or both ends of your train journey. So you pay for your complete train and bus journey in one easy transaction at the station (or by phone). It's a great value way to make your entire journey by public transport and reduce your carbon foot-print!
How does it work?
For each town there is one zone that covers the whole urban area (your train journey must start or finish outside of this bus travel zone). With your PLUSBUS ticket you can travel as much as you like on all participating bus services anywhere within the zone.
Great value
PLUSBUS ticket prices start at £1.60, with most priced around £2 to £3 a day, depending on the town or city. Save one-third off the PLUSBUS day ticket price with your Railcard (usual Railcard peak period restrictions apply). Children (aged 5-15) pay half the adult PLUSBUS day ticket price.
Easy to buy
Ask for PLUSBUS when buying your train ticket. You can buy a PLUSBUS ticket at:

- all staffed rail station ticket offices
- self-service ticket machines (at selected stations)
- by 'phone through Train Company Telesales teams
PLUSBUS can be purchased with all "walk-up" and "advance" ticket types:
- single
- day return
- period return (you will need to specify the date of your return journey)
- season tickets (for set periods, to match the most popular rail season tickets sold: 7-days, 1 month, 3-months, a year).
PLUSBUS can save you money and is more convenient than buying separate tickets. What's more you can pay with cash, credit or debit card.
