Platform for Art
Our 'Platform for Art' initiative aims to
offer individuals and organisations the opportunity to participate in
art projects that are displayed at some of the 244 stations on our
network.
Developed alongside our 'Adopt a Station' initiative, 'Platform for
Art' has allowed hundreds of young people to demonstrate their artistic
ability, often working alongside professional artists to create
colourful and vibrant pieces of work.
'Platform for Art' has helped young people learn new skills,
improved the environment at stations and given pleasure to thousands of
passengers who travel with Arriva Trains Wales.
In addition to art, a series of poetry projects have been organised
with school children capturing in words their view of the world when
travelling by train.
