Peter Bailey peter.bailey@arrivatrainswales.co.ukPeter lives in the village of Hope, Flintshire, which is close to the Wrexham to Bidston line. Currently a freelance market researcher his hobbies include travel, football and snooker. He has experienced extensive train travel throughout eastern and western Europe, Asia and North America. Peters aim on the Passenger Panel is to report and relay the successes, problems and other relevant information to Arriva Trains Wales on a regular basis.

Christopher, a retired lawyer, life long railway and vehicle enthusiast with addresses in Flintshire and Snowdonia, comes from an old railway family. He understands transport operations as a life long professional passenger, a volunteer guard on three preserved Welsh railways and as owner and driver of his own double decker bus. A former chairman of a registered charity for the disabled, he can provide a balanced view of the needs of and cost to railway passengers, the resources available and the necessary profit to management.

Philip Evans is a local councillor in Llandudno and has chaired the Town Council's public transport committee for several years. The chairman of the Llandudno Museum Trust, he also serves as a Magistrate and a Member of the North Wales Fire Authority. He regularly uses rail and bus services for both business and pleasure.

Edward has always had a keen interest in railways both in the UK and further afield. His main objective within the Passenger Panel is to contribute with realistic and achievable suggestions as to how services can be improved for the benefit of both the passengers and the company. Edward is most familiar with the line along the North Wales Coast from Holyhead to Crewe and Manchester together with the very scenic branch line from Llandudno to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Peter Morris loves trains! He wants to see the railways flourish, providing a reliable and comfortable service for the people of Wales. He is also a member of the First Great Western Passenger Panel and is keen to ensure that passengers’ views are heard by both Arriva and First Great Western. Peter, who lives in Llanelli wants to see a frequent service served by clean trains arriving and clean, tidy stations on time.

Elizabeth, a retired archivist, currently lives in Wrexham but has spent most of her life living and working in different parts of North-East Wales. She joined the Passenger Panel to represent travellers on the Wrexham to Birmingham route, of which she has been a regular user for several years. She hopes to be able to use her experience of delivering a public service to bring about improvements for passengers and is also a great believer in encouraging the use of public transport, especially trains, on environmental grounds.

Rowland is a retired schoolmaster and transport lecturer. He frequently travels on the Maesteg to Cardiff services. A council member of the Youth Hostel Association and Railfuture he travels extensively in Wales and other parts of the world. He records the changing Welsh Rail Scene for the Railway Correspondence & Travel Society and Railfuture. He is interested in the provision of transport for young people and visitors to Wales.

William is a free-lance journalist who started his career as a programme maker for ITV in Wales. Early in the 1970's an old mansion in the Towy Valley was acquired and developed into a leading Welsh Country House Hotel and Theme Restaurant. After a period of living in France he is now based in Carmarthen. Having renounced his car some years ago he travels extensively by train and looks forward to representing his area on the Passenger Panel.
