Ride the Heart of Wales Line with Arriva Trains Wales

Llandod wellsThe Heart of Wales Line is one of Britain's favourite rural railways. You'll travel through spectacular scenery and bustling market towns on an unforgettable journey.

The line travels south from Shrewsbury through rolling hills and towns such as Knighton, Llandrindod Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells before reaching the steel and tinplate town of Llanelli and then Swansea, the hometown of Dylan Thomas. There's something for everyone along the line, with tourist attractions for all the family.

Visit the Spaceguard centre, two miles from Knighton station, The National Cycle Exhibition near Llandrindod Wells station and the National Botanic Garden of Wales, a few miles from Ffairfach station.

There's also a host of shopping opportunities from local market days at several small towns to the magnificent Swansea city Visit Wales 007 centre. And if you are feeling more active, there's walking, cycling, golfing, fishing, watersports and much more along the route too.
