    Save when you buy a group ticket from Arriva Trains Wales

    Large Groups

    • If you are planning to travel on one of our services as part of a group of 10 or more. 
    • Please note there is a 7 day advance notice period we need in order to process large group bookings.

    Small Group Day Tickets

    • If there are three to nine people travelling together on Arriva Trains Wales, they can save money by buying a cheaper Small Group Day ticket which offers a 25% discount to corresponding ticket.
    • Small group train tickets have the same restriction as the corresponding Off Peak Day ticket. Small Group Day tickets will not be valid for use before 09.30 and not for journeys starting between 16.00 and 18.29, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
    • All members of the group must travel together at all times to validate the product.
    • Small Group Day is sold only as an adult ticket, but children may use this ticket. Ticket Type Code: SGD

    Please note Group train tickets are not valid:

    • on certain dates when major sporting events occur within the Arriva Trains Wales network. Details available from Arriva Trains Wales ticket offices.
    • in First Class accommodation
    • with Railcard discount
    • with any other special offer or promotion
    • with combined train and bus travel

    Please check the details of your intended journey prior to buying a ticket and travel. Rail improvement works by Network Rail can sometimes impact, at short notice, timetables, routes and the types of vehicle used.
