Explore Wales Pass Options
There are three types of Explore Wales Pass, which all offer unlimited travel on all mainline rail services in Wales, plus the routes between Newport, Shrewsbury and Crewe, Crewe to Chester and Newport to Gloucester.
The Explore Wales Pass is also valid on selected bus services in Wales, who provide access to some beautiful coastal and mountainous scenery.
How long can I use my Explore Wales Pass?
Each Explore Wales Pass allows four days train and eight days bus travel within a period of eight consecutive days.

Where can I buy an Explore Wales Pass?
Tickets can be purchased at most staffed railway stations in Wales,larger stations such as London Paddington, Shrewsbury, Chester, Birmingham New Street, Bristol Temple Meads and Manchester; and National Rail Appointed Travel Agents throughout Britain.

Before you buy your Explore Wales Pass, you will need to let us know what day you would like your pass to start. We cannot issue open-dated Explore Wales passes.
Explore Wales Pass can only be purchased at a staffed railway station. Explore Wales Pass are NOT available to buy online, by telephone OR on board a train.
