BBC Come Dancing stars Erin Boag and Anton Du Beke took the lead on Friday 8 June at a glamorous Dance Spectacular held at the Barry Memorial Hall in aid of Vale of Glamorgan Guide Dogs.
Supported by Arriva Trains Wales, the event attracted more than 200 guests from across South Wales with each partnership keen to show off their ballroom moves.
The stars of the popular BBC show wooed the audience with a stunning display of ballroom dancing. Two lucky members of the audience were also fortunate to win a dance with Anton and Erin.
John Chard, Treasurer of the Vale of Glamorgan Guide Dogs, said: "We're very grateful to Anton and Erin for giving their time to appear at our event. Their dancing was a delight to see and is sure to have been an inspiration to everyone who attended."
The funds raised during the evening will be used to support the Guide Dogs activities in training and breeding. It costs
around £10 a day to breed, train and care for each guide dog. Guide Dogs for the Blind receive no government funding and their services are entirely dependant on voluntary donations.
As a world leader in the breeding and training of guide dogs, Guide Dogs for the Blind presently support about 4700 partnerships in the United Kingdom.
Geraint Morgan, community affairs manager for Arriva Trains Wales, said: "Guide Dogs play an important role in the lives of many people and provide the independence many of us take for granted. We are pleased to have been able to support this important fund raising evening, which is a further extension of our commitment to supporting customers with disabilities and special needs."
