Arriva Trains Wales would like to offer the opportunity for Club 55 customers to experience our North - South Wales Premier Service.
First Class travel is available for an extra
supplement on the Club 55 fare, priced between £60 to £100 depending on
the length of the journey being made.
First
Class passengers will be treated to a complimentary cooked breakfast on
the south bound morning service and a three course meal on the north bound service
in the evening. Arriva Trains Wales first class chefs will be on board
to cook the food from fresh produce, much of it sourced in Wales.
The
service leaves Holyhead at 0532 arriving at Bangor half an hour later
at 0602. The journey from Bangor to Cardiff Central takes just under
four hours – arriving at 0958. The evening service leaves Cardiff at
1615 arriving Holyhead 2049. These timings provide plenty of
opportunities to spend time in Wales capital city.
How to Buy:
The Premier Service supplement is only available to purchase at the station and on the train. The supplement is not available to purchase online or over the telephone.
Who can get a Club 55 Premier Service ticket?
Anyone aged 55 or over can buy a Club 55 ticket. You are required to
carry proof of age when you travel to validate your ticket. We will
only accept passport, driving license, pension book or a bus pass as
proof of age.
Which routes can I travel with Premier Service?

Do I need to book in advance?
No, you can purchase your Club 55 Premier Service ticket on the day of travel. However, it is advisable to purchase at least 24 hours before departure time as seats on the Premier Service are limited and subject to availability.
