Would you like to help us improve and maintain the appearance of our railway stations for our passengers? If so we want to hear from you.
We are looking to recruit a Station Environmental Operative (Station Cleaner). The position will cover stations from Bridgend through to and including Swansea and will also include all stations on the Maesteg line. However, you may also occasionally be required to travel to other stations in the area should the need arise. As this is a mobile position, applicants are required to posses a full driving license.
Working as part of an existing team, you will ensure the Stations, platforms, concourse areas and car parks are kept clean and tidy for our customers. You will also perform minor maintenance tasks such as painting. The use of heavy plant cleaning equipment is a requirement of the role which includes jet power washers, strimmers and vac blowers. During times of adverse weather conditions, you may also be required to provide winter weather precautions. Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but full training will be provided. Good interpersonal skills are necessary as you may be required to provide general customer service assistance.
